Hey! My name is Nalin, and I’m a rising senior at Williams College studying Mathematics and Physics, and an experienced tutor dedicated to help students build deep mathematical intuition. I can tutor a wide variety of levels, from high school Algebra to ACT Math, all the way to college level Calculus III, Linear Algebra, Probability Theory, Real Analysis, and Abstract Algebra.

As a former Teaching Assistant for Real Analysis, I helped students build their formal reasoning by making the abstract intuitive and geometric. And as an AP Calculus tutor, this same approach helped a student raise their grade from a D to a B+ and ace their AP Calculus Exam!

I’m most dedicated to meet students wherever they are in their math journey and help them become confident, independent thinkers. I’m very comfortable supporting students through personally-tailored notes/problems or using textbooks and other methods as requested to help each student learn the best they can.

I’m a Math major at Williams College with a passion for helping students learn. I am currently completing my undergraduate thesis in Commutative Algebra and have served as a Teaching Assistant for Real Analysis for two semesters. These experiences have fueled my goal of becoming a university professor, and I love the challenge of breaking down high-level concepts into digestible steps for K-12 students.

On the testing front, I earned a 1510 on the SAT, achieving a perfect 800 in the Math section on two separate occasions. I’m eager to share the specific strategies and logic that make these tests manageable. Additionally, I earned scores of 5 on numerous AP exams, including Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science.

Beyond the classroom, I’m a Division 3 Track & Field athlete with over 10 years of competitive experience. Whether in the classroom or on the track, I’m dedicated to helping students reach their full potential through discipline and clear communication.  

I’m Jackie Zeng. I am an undergraduate student at Williams College (Class of 2029), planning to major in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. I am from Queens, New York and attended Stuyvesant High School in NYC. I have a strong STEM background, having taken many higher level mathematics and computer science courses including but not limited to Abstract Algebra, Real Analysis, Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Computer Organization. In addition, I competed in various competitions including the USA Math Olympiad, the USA Coding Olympiad, as well as the International Math Modeling Contest. At Williams, I co-founded the college’s first AI club, Gradient, and I’m also the co-president of Club Table Tennis.

I’ve been tutoring for several years throughout high school, and have worked as a senior teaching assistant and managed hiring at ABCMath Academy, where I taught classes in SAT math, SHSAT, physics, and Python/Java programming for groups of 30+ students. Through this, I’ve gained quite a bit of practice breaking down tough concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations and adapting my approach to different learning styles. I have also taught chess with the Metis Project, where I created weekly lessons, slides, and interactives. 

Outside of tutoring, I’m very involved in film and video editing, and I love helping students bring creative projects to life. I served as the director of the media and memory crew of my high school’s musical and am currently taking a documentary making class. Additionally, I play and coach table tennis, where I’ve reached #61 in the US for my age group. Table tennis especially has taught me patience and encouragement. I’m also into esports (was signed professionally for a year), which keeps me competitive, collaborative, and fun to work with.

Altogether, these experiences make me a supportive and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys seeing students gain confidence in both quantitative and creative subjects. My name is Winnie Zhang, and I’m a Computer Science major at Williams College. I grew up in New York City and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science.

Previously, I’ve worked with students from elementary through high school in subjects including math, science, English, and SAT prep, and I'm comfortable adjusting my approach to meet each student’s unique learning style.

My tutoring subjects are K-12 math, science (biology, chemistry, earth science), English, history, PSAT, SAT (I scored 1530 with 780 on Reading, 750 on Math), and AP Exams. My AP scores were: Biology (4), English Language (5), English Literature (5), World History (5).

At Williams, I also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Statistics Department, where I supported students through problem-solving, exam preparation, and building strong foundational skills. These experiences, along with my coursework in computer science, have taught me how to tackle challenging concepts clearly and logically, often by breaking them into smaller, approachable steps.

I strive to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace. I especially love helping students break down complex ideas and watching their confidence grow in areas they once found intimidating.

My name is Soleil (so-lay), and I offer tutoring in Williamstown, MA in several different subjects: English, Literature, Grammar, History (medieval Europe and America since the 1400s), Gender Studies, and Drawing (digital and physical). I am a sophomore here at Williams majoring in History and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

Before coming to Williams, I was a student at Daytona State Community College in Florida where I was a peer writing tutor, teaching writing skills from high school aged students to pupils in their 60s. As a writing tutor I became well acquainted with treating teaching as a back and forth rather than a lecture; I want students to feel engaged and excited to learn about the topic at hand, whether that be 12th century nuns or English grammar.

I take special care to get to know my students so that I may teach them in the way that suits them best. I know it helps me to have a visual aid in my tutoring so I always keep a notebook to provide another way of consuming the information. Knowing the student is also vital so that I may make connections to the material at hand. It can be difficult to learn when a concept feels entirely foreign to your mental framework, so I recognize great importance in making those connections.

I am comfortable working with students with mental disabilities as well, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. In these cases of mental barriers it is especially important to pique the students’ interest with topics that they enjoy.

In addition to my studies in English, History, and Gender Studies, I also have a background in drawing. In recent years I have done more digital art but I retain a good understanding of the drawing fundamentals. Thus, I am always thrilled to incorporate drawing into lessons to add creative intrigue.

As a tutor it is always my goal to cultivate an environment of acceptance and curiosity. May we all eternally learn together!!

My name is Noah, and I tutor in Williamstown, MA in all K-12 subjects and trumpet. I'm a first-year student (Class of 2029) at Williams College. I am planning to major in Political Science.

I took 11 AP classes in high school, in a variety of fields, so I'm happy to teach many different subjects like history, science, math, and English. I'm also happy to help students prepare for the SAT or ACT tests. I have experience working with all different age groups, and I love to help others understand difficult or complex problems. I have worked as an elementary summer camp instructor and have coached middle and high school debaters. I was also involved in debate all throughout high school, and am currently in Mock Trial at Williams.

I also play the trumpet and am involved in the Williams Brass and Jazz Ensembles, and I would be happy to tutor trumpet.

I’m Katherine, a tutor in Williamstown, Massachusetts and a pre-med senior at Williams College (‘26) majoring in Chemistry and concentrating in Public Health and Asian American Studies. I am incredibly excited to share my experiences and knowledge with the community around me!

My teaching experience spans a wide range of ages and learning styles. I have worked as a teaching fellow at Williamstown Elementary School and Mt. Greylock Regional School, where I supported science labs and provided individualized tutoring in English, math, and science, including working one-on-one with a student with Mosaic Down Syndrome. At Williams College, I have also served as a teaching assistant in the Chemistry Department for first-year students.

I’m Josephine! I offer tutoring in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I'm a History and Political Science major at Williams College ('29), and I tutor SAT/ACT, English, History, US Government, Math, French, and Creative Writing.

I graduated from Stuyvesant High School in NYC, where I took AP US History (5), AP World History (5), AP English Literature (5), AP English Language (5), and AP French Language (4). I also took AP Calc AB, AP US Gov, and AP Comp Gov but did not take the AP exams as Williams does not offer college credit. However, I earned perfect scores in both government courses and am studying Calc II at Williams.

Outside of classes, I compete for Williams Moot Court and will be working as a research assistant for a history professor.

As a tutor, I bring strong academics paired with extensive experience. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from Kindergarten and elementary school to high school. Through my high school’s honor society, I tutored history, Western Political Theory, algebra, and French. I also served as an editor for the Writing Center with a helpfulness rating of 9.5/10 and 9.8/10 overall rating for providing thoughtful, in-depth feedback on student writing. Additionally, I've tutored family friends and my younger sister in SAT English/grammar (760 SAT English). Currently, I mentor for a college-access organization, where I’ve helped dozens of students strengthen their personal essays, supplementals, and activities lists. My experience teaching in my church’s Sunday School has further enhanced my ability to work creatively with younger students.

My name is Franklin, and I tutor in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I am a freshman at Williams College, Class of 2029. I intend on majoring in statistics and math. I've tutored all throughout high school, and I hope to continue helping students on their own academic journeys. Previously, I have tutored with the Chicago North Shore Chinese Center, teaching English and math. I've also tutored through the National Honors Society in high-school math, biology, and English. Coming this semester, I will be a TA in the statistics course I've taken this year, STAT 202: Intro to Statistical modeling. These experiences personally enriched me, and have encouraged me to explore more tutoring opportunities.

I am comfortable tutoring in a wide range of subjects, whether it’s STEM subjects, humanities, or extracurriculars. In particular, I am intimately familiar with the AP Exams and SAT (I scored 1590), as I’ve both received and given tutoring in these areas. For those families who have younger children, I am also experienced in tutoring in elementary and middle school-level subjects. In addition to tutoring all grade levels, I have also received tutoring from Kumon, which was hugely important for developing a solid understanding of fundamental skills and knowledge in math that translated into academic success. I understand how to help a student prepare for excellence, and I am prepared to help.

In terms of teaching style, I value patience with all my students, clear communication, and building a strong foundation. I always ask them what their goals are and how they learn best, then I adapt my teaching to suit their needs. I'd love to tutor in any subject I can, as I simply enjoy helping students achieve a higher level of understanding and learning. I’m Daniel, a junior at Williams College double-majoring in Computer Science and Music. I love exploring how logic and creativity intersect—whether that’s in a coding project, a piece of music, or a tutoring session.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with students of all ages in both academic and artistic settings. I’ve tutored elementary students in Williamstown, taught web design (HTML and CSS) at the Milne Public Library, and led music theory lessons and directed youth theater productions of The Lion King Jr. and Alice in Wonderland Jr. through the Youth Development Organization in Lawrence, Massachusetts. I also have experience supporting early learners at the Williams College Children’s Center, helping students develop confidence and curiosity in the classroom.

Academically, I love helping students with math, computer science, and Spanish, building strong foundations in elementary school in fun and engaging ways and progressing to more advanced subjects like Spanish grammar and coding in Python later on.

In music, I teach classical and jazz piano, along with music theory with the goal of making students better composers, interpreters, and performers of music, to teach them why music is the way it is and how to make music themselves.

I can tutor 1 student or small groups of 2 or 3 students, which is a great, fun way for a group of friends or siblings to learn together, and my coding and Spanish tutoring for example are great for kids as young as elementary school--we start with intuitive lessons designed for that age.

As a tutor, my goal is to make learning engaging and approachable—building understanding step by step and celebrating every “aha” moment along the way.

My name is Bea. I graduated from Williams College with a degree in Art History and English in June 2025, and I tutor Italian language and literature online (I am working on a vineyard in Italy). I spent all four years at Williams working as the head Italian TA, teaching the Elementary Italian classes, leading the Italian language table, and managing all the cooking and cultural events. Every week I met with the students in small groups to help them practice and review, leading my sessions completely in Italian to immerse them in the language and encouraging them to speak without fear of making mistakes.

Over my last semester at Williams, I led the Elementary Italian class once a week, which helped me grow comfortable and confident teaching even larger groups of students. I often added extra hours to my weekly schedule for one-on-one meetings with students who needed some extra help, honing in on their specific needs and targeting areas they wanted or needed to review. As a result, I’ve become very comfortable adapting my lessons to fit a student’s unique learning style, constantly exploring different ways to explain the same concepts to find the most effective method for the student at hand.

While I do cover all the basics, I love to get to know my students so as to tailor our lessons to their interests, helping them use Italian for the concepts they want to talk about or need to learn for work or other classes. Over the years, I’ve had many students already fluent in other Romance languages—since I also speak Spanish and a little bit of French, I use their knowledge of similar grammatical structures and vocabulary to enhance their understanding of Italian.

I grew up between Boston and Italy, spending most of my time in the latter, so I consider both English and Italian my native languages since I feel equally comfortable speaking both. Even before Williams, when I was living in Italy full time, I gained experience tutoring Italian students in English. Over all my years tutoring and TAing, my goal has always been to make my students as passionate about learning Italian as I am to teach it.
