My name is Ace, and I offer tutoring in Saratoga Springs, New York. I am a sophomore (Class of 2028) at Skidmore College, majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry on the pre-med track.
I can confidently tutor science subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, as well as math from elementary concepts through AP Calculus BC (excluding AP Statistics). I scored a perfect score of 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. I also tutor humanities subjects such as English, grammar, and history. In high school, I completed a rigorous AP and IB curriculum, including AP Human Geography, AP U.S. History, AP Language, AP Government, AP Microeconomics, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, IB Literature HL, and IB Music HL. This experience allows me to effectively support students with coursework, exam preparation, and essay writing.
I have completed general chemistry and the first year of chemistry, as well as the first half of organic chemistry, all with lab experience that emphasized hands-on learning. This semester, I am continuing organic chemistry while taking Physics II, alongside coursework in political science. I am a member of a chemistry lab at Skidmore, where I use terminal coding and Python to work with molecular dynamics simulations. I am currently in my second semester in the lab and am beginning a project focused on Ark-A mutations and their impact on sequencing within SH-3 binding pathways. Outside of academics, I am a member of Skidmore’s Equestrian Team and enjoy reading, crocheting, knitting, and music. I previously ran my high school theatre club and served as captain of the equestrian team, competing in IEA through Zone II finals individually.
I am passionate about music, theatre, and medicine, and I bring an enthusiastic, supportive, and approachable attitude to tutoring. My goal as a tutor is to strengthen foundational concepts while developing critical thinking skills that support long-term understanding and academic success. Through both one-on-one and group tutoring, I focus on concept mastery and skill-based learning to help students build confidence and achieve lasting improvement.
