My name is Ace, and I offer tutoring in Saratoga Springs, New York. I am a sophomore (Class of 2028) at Skidmore College, majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry on the pre-med track. I can confidently tutor science subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, as well as math from elementary concepts through AP Calculus BC (excluding AP Statistics). I scored a perfect score of 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. I also tutor humanities subjects such as English, grammar, and history. In high school, I completed a rigorous AP and IB curriculum, including AP Human Geography, AP U.S. History, AP Language, AP Government, AP Microeconomics, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, IB Literature HL, and IB Music HL. This experience allows me to effectively support students with coursework, exam preparation, and essay writing. I have completed general chemistry and the first year of chemistry, as well as the first half of organic chemistry, all with lab experience that emphasized hands-on learning. This semester, I am continuing organic chemistry while taking Physics II, alongside coursework in political science. I am a member of a chemistry lab at Skidmore, where I use terminal coding and Python to work with molecular dynamics simulations. I am currently in my second semester in the lab and am beginning a project focused on Ark-A mutations and their impact on sequencing within SH-3 binding pathways. Outside of academics, I am a member of Skidmore’s Equestrian Team and enjoy reading, crocheting, knitting, and music. I previously ran my high school theatre club and served as captain of the equestrian team, competing in IEA through Zone II finals individually. I am passionate about music, theatre, and medicine, and I bring an enthusiastic, supportive, and approachable attitude to tutoring. My goal as a tutor is to strengthen foundational concepts while developing critical thinking skills that support long-term understanding and academic success. Through both one-on-one and group tutoring, I focus on concept mastery and skill-based learning to help students build confidence and achieve lasting improvement.

If you have a specific tutor in mind, you're welcome to request them directly — we'll confirm whether they're available and the right fit for your student. Otherwise, Ryan writes a personal email to understand your student's needs, learning style, and goals — then handpicks a tutor from the roster. You're not filling out a form and getting assigned randomly. If the first tutor isn't the right fit after the first session, we'll find you a better match at no extra charge.
Yes. Many families start with a single session to see how the tutor and student connect before committing to a regular schedule. There's no pressure to book in advance — reach out and we'll set something up.
Yes. Many of our tutors are strong across several subjects, and sessions can cover more than one if that's what the student needs that week. Flexibility is built into how we work.
Most of our tutors continue working through breaks, either online or in-person at the college if the tutors remain on campus during that vacation. We'll let you know in advance if a tutor has a gap in availability and arrange coverage with one of our other tutors — in-person or online — in the required subject.
Occasionally, if the student lives very close to the tutor's campus. Most sessions take place on or near the college campus or online. This keeps sessions in an academically focused environment — which tends to produce better results.
The families who see the biggest results are the ones who commit to a regular cadence — typically once, twice, or three times a week. One-on-one tutoring with a student from an elite college, who genuinely understands the material, is a fundamentally different experience from a tutoring center or an app. Most of our clients stay with us for multiple semesters.

That depends on where your student is starting and how consistently they show up. Ace will identify the specific gaps, focus sessions on them, and adjust as the student progresses. Families who stick to a weekly schedule typically see meaningful progress within four to six weeks.
